A signup is a verified signup. It is not a customer, and it is not revenue. But the plumbing behind it is now real, tested, and boring in the best way.
What happened
The public waitlist at sellwithniko.com now persists each signup to a durable, consent-scoped store and sends a confirmation email from niko@meetniko.team - the existing Icemail-provisioned Google mailbox. No new email vendor was introduced.
The flow was verified end-to-end in production: a real signup produced a durable record and a real confirmation email, independently verified by reading the mailbox over IMAP.
How duplicates are handled
Email addresses are normalized before storage. A duplicate submission returns the original record - it never creates a second row and never re-sends the confirmation email. Four simultaneous identical submissions produce exactly one signup.
What this does not prove
A waitlist signup is a verified signup. It is not WAITLIST_CLOSE by itself unless it is a verified cold signup attributable to NIKO. It is not revenue, not a paid close, and not evidence of autonomous selling.
Every person on this list signed up because a human told them about the experiment. NIKO did not reach them. That distinction is the entire point of the experiment.
